The crossing now has Safetran Bases, Safetran 12x20" lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs and a Siemens Electronic Bell.ZachL wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2019 2:34 pmWhat was it upgraded to?The BC Railfan wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2019 11:06 pmThis one has already been posted by me a year ago. Safetran Type 3. Some people prefer to call the current ones Siemens e-bells (or Invensys Rail e-bells for the ones that were made by Invensys Rail). Aside from a shorter base on the Safetran Type 3s made by Invensys Rail onwards, no major changes have been made to the bells, AFAIK.ZachL wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2019 1:04 pmSiemens electronic bell? The BC Railfan wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2019 12:43 amThe crossing now has Safetran Bases, Safetran 12x20" lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs and a Siemens Electronic Bell.ZachL wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2019 2:34 pmWhat was it upgraded to?The BC Railfan wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2019 11:06 pmThis one has already been posted by me a year ago. Maybe it's just me, but unless their marks are on the bells (plausible?), then it might be best to refer to them as what they've been called for a long time, for the sake of consistency. And even "type-x" is still an unofficial name at that.freebrickproductions wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2019 10:17 pmSafetran Type 3. I can understand the gate mechs being called Invensys and Siemens since those have been updated, but a good chunk of equipment still gets slapped with the Safetran branding. I don't know if bases or masts are rebranded, though.

The 5 inch bases have been updated, doesn't appear to be so for the 4 inch ones though.ZachL wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 11:08 amMaybe it's just me, but unless their marks are on the bells (plausible?), then it might be best to refer to them as what they've been called for a long time, for the sake of consistency. Oh, and cantilevers as well. Specifically, if my favorite, the WT-F, is still made.freebrickproductions wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 9:40 pmThe 5 inch bases have been updated, doesn't appear to be so for the 4 inch ones though.ZachL wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 11:08 amMaybe it's just me, but unless their marks are on the bells (plausible?), then it might be best to refer to them as what they've been called for a long time, for the sake of consistency. Re: Locations Of Current Known "ASC E-Bells"
Would have to double-check the catalog on the WT/F, but I know the current Siemens cantilevers (and Invensys Rail ones as well, possibly) use RACO logos on the junction boxes on the masts, for some reason.ZachL wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2019 7:19 amOh, and cantilevers as well.
