Sadly not there anymore. I was there a couple of days ago and all that has been replaced. Oddly enough the E-bells on the new crossings are side mounted below the lights. How ever there was something even more rare the wishbones when I visited:ToledoRailfan wrote:Here is a pedestrian gate in Glenns Ferry, Idaho!

That is a open top tri level auto rack car. Built Jan-March, 1975. AFAIK there are NO Auto racks on the mainline that still have open tops. This guy was sitting in storage with some other cool equipment including a Western Pacific hopper and some C&NW green grain cars

That would be UP's current standard for bell mounting. They use NEG e-bells, so they put them there to actually be able to be heard.Erik-Gorb-Hamilton wrote:Oddly enough the E-bells on the new crossings are side mounted below the lights.

Interesting that they're still there! Probably the last left on a non-museum crossing here in the US!ToledoRailfan wrote:Here is a pair in Brattleboro, Vermont.

Don't forget about the ones on the DART system in Dallas which might be modern wishbone gates.freebrickproductions wrote:Interesting that they're still there! Probably the last left on a non-museum crossing here in the US!ToledoRailfan wrote:Here is a pair in Brattleboro, Vermont.

Re: A-frame/Wishbone gate locations
Well the ones on the DART system are in existence because of the obstructions that prevent them from being full sized gates.ToledoRailfan wrote:Don't forget about the ones on the DART system in Dallas which might be modern wishbone gates.freebrickproductions wrote:Interesting that they're still there! I believe the DART ones are also aluminum, while these appear to still be wooden!ZachL wrote:Well the ones on the DART system are in existence because of the obstructions that prevent them from being full sized gates.ToledoRailfan wrote:Don't forget about the ones on the DART system in Dallas which might be modern wishbone gates.freebrickproductions wrote:Interesting that they're still there!
