Napier, New Zealand
This one still has Safetran/Griswold Mechanical Bells.

Sale Street

This recent video is also from Napier. I couldn't really tell if the crossing is one of the above, or a separate crossing not viewed on Google Maps.

They're most likely Griswold though, as New Zealand has quite a bit of Griswold equipment still, and used to have quite a few Griswold bells (most have since been replaced).ZachL wrote:It's almost like RACO never existed.MapsSurfer wrote:This one still has Safetran/Griswold Mechanical Bells.
They/Them for me, please.

I remember seeing Griswolds lights in New Zealand, and by far they are much cleaner than over here in the states. At least they take good care of vintage equipment over there.freebrickproductions wrote:They're most likely Griswold though, as New Zealand has quite a bit of Griswold equipment still, and used to have quite a few Griswold bells (most have since been replaced).ZachL wrote:It's almost like RACO never existed.MapsSurfer wrote:This one still has Safetran/Griswold Mechanical Bells.

Many of them also have LEDs in them now as well.ZachL wrote:I remember seeing Griswolds lights in New Zealand, and by far they are much cleaner than over here in the states. Edirne, Turkey
These signals have Lights and Bells that I believe are made by the Kyosan Electric Signal Co. of Japan.

Those lights look like those mini-signal lights, only life-sized.MapsSurfer wrote:Edirne, Turkey

That's why I think that they're made in Japan, Crossing Lights made over there are real small.ZachL wrote:Those lights look like those mini-signal lights, only life-sized.MapsSurfer wrote:Edirne, Turkey

Re: A-frame/Wishbone gate locations
So after reading this forum, I made a map showing how many many gates are left in the U.S

There are not much left

Zoom in real good, and you can see a wishbone guarding the bridge!

Sadly the bridge got stuck in the open position in 2016. The bridge was taken down and replaced.
Also one cool thing is that one part of the train track section collapsed in the 1930's sending a steam engine and a baggage car to the water, where they still remain!
