AL 33, Courtland, AL
Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a Safetran Type-2 Electronic Bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
Signal on the right: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
This crossing is set-up more like an old L&N crossing than an old Southern Railroad crossing.
They/Them for me, please.

Looks like one of the gate lights was replaced with a RECO LED one recently:

The tip gate light on the near signal in this video was also replaced with an LED one recently:

Got both sides of this crossing recorded yesterday:
These will most likely be the last videos I record of this crossing for a while.

Re: AL 33, Courtland, AL
*originally recorded on 7-25-21*
Signal on the left: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, 1 RECO LED gate light, and 2 RECO incandescent gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a General Signals Type 3 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, 1 RECO LED gate light, and 2 RECO incandescent gate lights.
After CSX Q523 got across the river, NS 265 was finally allowed through as well, so, once I saw the train reach Vine Street, I got going west to beat it over here to Courtland, which I was able to do so with plenty of time to spare. Here we see 265 once more flying through this crossing on their way to Sheffield.
It's certainly been a few years since I last recorded this crossing, but thankfully, it's still mostly the same. As you can see though, NS has since replaced the Safetran Type 2 that'd been here with a GS Type 3, meaning that this line has only two Safetran Type 2s left. I'm guessing the older bell here died, which is why it got replaced. Thankfully though, nothing else appears to have been changed at this old mid-70s SOU install.
They/Them for me, please.
