Been a while since I've recorded this crossing, and it comes with an ex-Santa Fe engine this time around!

By the way, is the gray-and-red color scheme older or newer than the blue-and-yellow one?

According to Gillson, the warbonnet (gray-and-red) was originally used to designate passenger engines, while the blue bonnet (blue and yellow) was originally used to just designate freight, though around 1989/1990, Santa Fe decided to go for the warbonnet paint scheme again for their new engines.

Now with snow!

The bell-less signal has also had the gate arm and gate lights on it replaced. It now has NEG gate lights but the equipment is otherwise unchanged.

On 5-30-18, I found out that one of the pairs of mast lights was replaced:

Signal on the left: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a WCH mechanical bell, an Invensys Rail gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
Signal on the right: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, an Invensys Rail gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.

For whatever reason, NS decided to replace Safetran 12x24 inch mast lights from the 1990s on the nearer cantilever signal with some new Safetran 12x20 inch lights. Not entirely sure why this was, as the rest of the crossing still remains the same, especially with the early Safetran 12x20 inch overhead lights on both signals and the pair of 1990s Safetran 12x24 inch lights on the mast of the far signal. I personally do think that the 12x24s that were on the near signal did look a bit better. The Huntsville Depot Museum (and the titular Huntsville Depot) can be seen on the left. The depot here in Huntsville was originally built by the Memphis & Charleston Railroad and housed the headquarters for their eastern division. It's also the oldest surviving depot in the state of Alabama. The Regions Bank building and a few other skyscrapers in downtown Huntsville can also be seen in the background of the shot.

I also got a video from May 28 as well. Rained a bit at the time I was filming this. I noticed the lights on the far signal were replaced. I was on the side with WCH Mechanical Bell.
