*originally recorded on 1-30-19*

Signal on the left: 1.5 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, and 1 Safetran 12x20 inch light.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights and a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell.

This crossing features a pair of gateless Central of Georgia signals at it, though most of the equipment has long since been replaced. The far signal had the lights on it replaced in the mid-1990s with a full set of Safetran 12x24s, while the nearer signal retained a set of Safetran 8 inch lights up until sometime after 2014, when they were replaced with the current Safetran 12x20s (and one of the far signal's lights had its 24 inch background replaced with a 20 inch one). However, one of the more interesting things about this crossing would be the 2 Tracks signs on both signals. While the current signs are modern 2 Tracks signs, they are, oddly enough, mounted right on top of the original "inverted" cats-eye 2 Tracks signs! The lights here also seem to stay on a bit after the bell stops ringing, which is a bit unusual, IMHO.

Mignon, AL isn't an incorporated town, but rather a "census-designated place" just northwest of Sylacauga, which I guess could count as an unincorporated town. There used to be two crossbuck crossings just north of this one on the NS P Line, but NS upgraded one of them to a pair of gated signal and closed the other. Interestingly enough, the one that was closed was the street that Google Maps considered to be more important.
They/Them for me, please.
