*originally recorded on 3-22-19*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of US&S 8 inch lights and a WCH mechanical bell.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of US&S 8 inch lights.

This crossing was one of my higher-priority crossings to get on the ATN, so I'm glad I got it on this trip. The crossing features a classic pair of US&S 8 inch signals installed by the SAL that are almost entirely original! The original US&S Teardrop bell (like most of the other Teardrops on this part of the ATN) was replaced by CSX in the 1980s with a WCH mechanical bell, while the original cats-eye crossbucks were replaced by the ATN between 2008 and 2012 (according to Google Street View). Either way though, it was certainly nice to get to film some more classic 8 inch signals here in Alabama!

The signals here were given a much-needed fresh coat of paint sometime between when I recorded the above video and when I recorded the below video on 6-28-19:

No other changes were observed.
