*originally recorded on 11-15-23*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs, a General Signals Type 3 electronic bell, a Siemens gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs, a dead General Signals (Type 3?) electronic bell, a Siemens gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Pedestrian signal on the far right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs, a Siemens gate mechanism, and a RECO LED gate light.
Pedestrian signal on the near right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs, a Siemens gate mechanism, and a RECO LED gate light.

After shooting CPKC 640 in Somers, I continued on up to Sturtevant, WI, to get this crossing filmed. After a bit of waiting here, I was able to shoot AMTK 338, a southbound Amtrak Hiawatha service, with the ex-F40PH NPCU "cabbage car" leading with an SC-44 for power. I was also able to meet Brenton81 here, which was rather nice.

This crossing is definitely a bit of a boring one, being a rather modern CP install, but I decided to go after it due to the pedestrian signals for the bike path here. The road signals here replaced a pair of early-2000s WCH signals (which had been given an LED upgrade and a bell replacement between 2007 and 2012) in 2020. In 2021, the bike path was added here and CP installed a pair of signals for it then as well. Since then, no major changes have occurred to this crossing. Amusingly, the closer bell here is also dead. According to Brenton81, this bell has been dead since it was installed, and it seems the maintainers here have never noticed.
They/Them for me, please.
