*originally recorded on 12-6-23*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of WRRS 8 inch lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of WRRS 8 inch lights and an NEG electronic bell.

After catching M574 leaving, I went west to this crossing to wait for another train. Not too long after I got here, this CSX L406 left the yard in Bowling Green and came through with a pair of GP40-2s for power.

This crossing is another great one, featuring another classic TPC install from the L&N. It seems that, in the 1950s or 60s, the far signal was replaced with the current one, and the closer signal had its lights replaced with the current WRRS ones. Then, in the 2000s, the bell here was replaced with a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, which EthantheRailfanner filmed. Then, sometime between 2021 and 2022, the bell here was replaced once again, this time with the current NEG electronic bell. Thankfully, since then, no further changes have occurred to these signals and they still retain their classic WRRS 8 inch lights.
