Good train horns.

Can't have signals without railroads, so talk about your favorite locomotives, railroads and any other (non signal) railroad related stuff.

Good train horns.

Post by Crossingman18 » Sat Mar 07, 2009 11:03 pm

Well we have a topic for bad train horns, now lets do one for some nice sounding train horns. Post your favorite train horn you caught in your railfannign life.

Here's one of my Favorites. Guilford MEC 519. Its either a K3L or a K3H. The horn sounds so haunting, especially in the night hours. It still sends shivers down my spine.

here's one of Guilford's more mature Horns. This is Guilford B&M (Boston & Maine) 330 (Ex Conrail 3247), Guilfrod MEC 343 (Ex Conrail 3219), and Guilford B&M 334 (Ex Conrail 3257). All 3 Units are GP40's. This is NEW Court St. Remember my bad train horn in that topic at that crossing? This video was to replace it, but I kept the old one just for giggles.
