Trains on google street view.

Can't have signals without railroads, so talk about your favorite locomotives, railroads and any other (non signal) railroad related stuff.

One of the units is actually a SD9043MAC, with the roadnumber what appears to be 8162. The number "8162" is now on a GE ES44AC owned by UP. The SD9043MAC shown in the link, has been renumbered to "3584" according to RRPicturesArchives.

In fact, the lash-up in order is:
EMD SD70M, EMD SD70M, EMD SD9043MAC, and GE AC45CCTE (essentially a specially ordered GEVO).
They/Them for me, please.

It could, but it'd wouldn't be safe for rail operations though, considering the huge size of the wheels.

Plus it would be hard to not only restore but it would be hard to locate spare parts too, pretty expensive!

What does size of the wheels have to do with safe operation?

Well, how does it fare against a wooden trestle?
Also, i'm pretty sure certain railroads (like CSX) don't allow steam locomotive on their rails most likely for safety and budget reasons.

There's a rather long trestle bridge in Eltham, VIC that suburban trains regularly go over daily, and they have no issues doing it.
