Again, I'd say that this poll should go for a few days longer than how long you have it, but I'll let you make that call.
Though anyways, here's my submission of a caboose leading NS A12 as it shoves up the NS Champion Paper Branch just north of Courtland, AL:

Here is my submission. I took this at the 2017 Grand Rapids Apple Butter Festival on the 8th of October. The Toledo & Lake Erie Western Railway was operating an MOW motor car speeder train over the Maumee River, the train would take people from a parking area to the Festival.

Those new baggage-cab cars on the Cascades are pretty neat! Do they still use the F40ph 'cabbages'?LARDLOGO wrote:christophersbrother[, on Flickr

Actually, the cabbages are still used more than the new F8 units. They even took one and painted it in Seattle Seahawks colors with the logos and everything.ToledoRailfan wrote:Those new baggage-cab cars on the Cascades are pretty neat! I remember seeing some images of that cabbage in particular, kind of surprised that I didn't see anyone in the railfan community talk about it strangely enough.LARDLOGO wrote:Actually, the cabbages are still used more than the new F8 units. Do you know if they plan on replacing all of the cabbages on the Cascades with F8 units? With the addition of the Siemens Chargers and the F8s with the F59PHIs and F40phs/Cabbages that were there before, the Cascades is starting to become more diverse in equipment!
Don't they sometimes use Genesis locos when none of their locomotives in their roster are available for a train?

Went out to the Bellingham Subdivision earlier this morning. Amtrak Cascades #513 (Vancouver, BC, Canada to Eugene, Oregon) was lead by #90252 which is a Cabbage. Have not seen the Charger units at all. In fact, I can't remember the last time I saw the F8 in use. Then again, last time I was out on the Bellingham Subdivision was last September.ToledoRailfan wrote:I remember seeing some images of that cabbage in particular, kind of surprised that I didn't see anyone in the railfan community talk about it strangely enough.LARDLOGO wrote:Actually, the cabbages are still used more than the new F8 units. UP 1943 leads light down the Falls City Sub in Verdon, NE. It was headed to its next tour stop in Fort Riley, KS at the time.
