Huh? I don't need to know how heavy it is. It's the price that has me puzzled.

It's high because of the weight.

That would make sense, if the shipping was factored into it, IMHO. However, shipping is an extra $125 (at least to ship to me).

I don’t know about you but I’m not paying 200 dollars shipping on a crossing relay (shipping to Australia is always expensive but it can sure be cheaper than this) the price is okayish but not the shipping cost https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Vintage-Rai ... Swgaxcuipw
How about 400 dollars for a WCH 333 Bell? (Again expensive prices for Australia) https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Railroad-Tr ... Swa81cxeef
This replica Crossing Signal is nice but 700 dollars seems a bit much for a replica (I could get bits of real Crossing Signal equipment, put it together and it would be cheaper still) this isn’t the only listing for this replica though, there are others selling it for similar prices https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TRACKLESS-T ... Swe7ZcUoEp
Ever wanted to pay 350 dollars for 1 crossing light without a target or visor? Here is the place! https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Westing ... SwEDtbhiSg
If you are wondering why these seem cheaper to you, it’s probably because shipping to Australia is expensive, and the value of the Aussie dollar is different to US.

$350.00 for a restored safetran mechanical bell. Way out of my price range.

Proud owner of a safetran mechanical bell and Griswold mechanical bell along with a pair of safetran 12x20 lights and a 8 inch light. Been a fan of trains since I was little. Main place I railfan on, The Sedalia Sub.

Well it is restored, and assumedly works, so $350 ain't too bad of a price for it (though IMHO, $250 would be a better price, but that's just me). Plus, it's a 1st Generation Safetran bell, which seem to be a bit rarer. As such, I can easily see where they'd want to go after that amount for it, and it's definitely better than the WRRS bell at an antique shop in Paint Rock that's going for close to a grand, IIRC.

Now, if that Safetran looked like it had just been fished out from the bottom of a river after layin' down there for 30 years, didn't work/owner didn't know if it worked, and the owner was chargin' $350 for it, then I'd definitely say it's overpriced. But in given the fact that it's restored, $350 probably ain't a bad price for it.
