YouTube Embedder

Due to YouTube finally killing their flash-based player, the embedded YouTube videos on the forum no longer work. We are looking to resolve the issue soon.

However, YouTube is at least kind enough to provide a link to the video so it can be watched on YouTube itself, so in the mean time, you'll have to use that until we can get a new YouTube embed code plugin installed.

Well thats just great.
They demonetize YouTubers that put like Call of Duty or whatever stuff in or if they say death of stuff.
They remove the option for annotations.
They remove the YouTube Editor.
They change their logo.
And now the embedding plugin died.

It works for Nathan's recent post along with MaxDriveEXperience's recent posts.

Update! I have gotten the embed code updated so that it's now YouTube's HTML5 embed code. In the process I've also changed the embedder so that it displays in a 16:9 ratio, which means that HD videos will display properly.

However, with this update, there's one important change: you can't have anything after the video ID in the URL between the YouTube codes. For example, in this URL:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRihJyEz ... e=youtu.be
Everything from the "&feature=" and after would have to be removed for the embedder to work properly. Same goes for anything else after the video ID. Also, for those who are curious, the video ID is the selection of characters that comes immediately after the "watch?v=" in a YouTube URL.

I'm also still messing around with the embedder's code, and am looking at possibly having it accept "https://" in the URL as well, so don't be surprised if it breaks again for a little while.

Another update!

Got it to accept HTTP and HTTPS as valid inputs, so no more need to remove the s in the "https://" from YouTube URLs when embedding!

That's because it's a 16:9 HTML5 player rather than the 4:3 Flash player that the code had been using.
