Newer all the way! All "old style" signals need to be scrapped!

I've found three crossings on Google Street View on the LIRR with General Signals e-bells.Swedish Crossings wrote:Long Island Railroad also seems to only use mechanical bells as far as i have seen!

I like both, although I do prefer older signals. I actually quite like crossings with a mixture of old and new equipment, but it's nice to have variety.

Newer stuff is boring, LEDs are boring, e bells are boring and apparence is boring :\ Older all the way!

Generally, that's the way I feel. Though there are some tasteful new installs, there are also junky-looking ones.IanMP wrote:Newer stuff is boring, LEDs are boring, e bells are boring and apparence is boring :\ Older all the way!

Re: Older or Newer Style Railroad Crossing Signals.
I say both, because the new ones have cool equipment, but standing under a WCH ebell waiting for an Amtrak can get pretty boring. Older ones are cool because of the rarity of the equipment but mechanical bells usually go bad, so I'm tied.

OG signal collection signature, I think.
