Technically the poles themselves are at normal height...they're just sitting atop concrete pillars.

And that is like 7 miles from the nearest rail line too! Maybe BNSF is in the process of buying up farmland in order to build a branch line and a yard or something like that.

Actually, that bridge span was finished, but is being removed, if I recall what a local up there had said about it on a Facebook post (about the signals in question as well).

Reminds me of the fact that the Officer station sign here in Melbourne is located on the highway, even though the actual station is located 700 meters down Station Street.
