Talk about other non-signal stuff here. Make sure to obey the rules though.

Well, mainly because that road is controversial due to the number of crashes since Brooms Cross Road opened in August 2015, it did nothing but increase the number of accidents due to the following things.
Since opening, there have been reports relating to an increased number of road traffic incidents at Switch Island, the main terminus of the A5758 road. Some road users have noted that a lack of clear road markings and signage may be a contributing factor towards the traffic collisions, whilst Sefton Council noted that they continue to review the operation of the road and associated junctions. Following continued incidents at the junction with Switch Island, the council confirmed in July 2016 that it was in talks with Highways England and Merseyside Police with Bill Esterson, MP for Sefton Central, calling for changes to be considered to the road to improve safety.
Following this, this is about to happen, which will not finish until 2019.

Those orange reflective backboards were installed in late-2016, I saw them while waiting Here which caught my eye.

Is this one of those crossings where the signals flash yellow but change when you push the button?

That, or the signal was just in flash mode for whatever reason (like it being the off season). It had been working about a year prior:

That is what I think, otherwise there wouldn't be a need for the green light.

This might just be the lowest railroad bridge (or really any bridge) over a public road that I've ever seen...

So low that the traffic signal for the intersection located next to the bridge is on the opposite side! Interesting how there is only one lone mast signal, a classic one at that! :TUP2:

I didn't really know there are Amish and/or Old Order Mennonite communities in this part of Michigan.
