I wonder what it looks like today... I went by in September 2017 and noticed new signals up, but yet to be activated. It looked sad to see those signals serve their final day's/weeks. They'd been in service since sometime in the 1980's.
This is a odd place to eat your Subway.

Signs for stores that don't exist no more!

Burnt out restaurant?

What the...

My guess is that they are the new signals.
Anyway.
Currys closed around late-2014 mainly due to the new experiment of putting Currys and PC World into one store.
Comet closed in late-2012 when they went into administration.
Dreams closed in 2013 for an unknown reason
B&Q closed in 2017 when they moved to a bigger store. All of this was part of a new retail park redevelopment project.
All of those stores were demolished in 2016, B&Q may have also gone down with them too.
These retail unit's were not so lucky.
This store closed in 2009, and was bought out by Sports Direct 3 years later.

The rest just maybe closed in 2009.

But overall, it is nice to see new investment, and modernization.
Dead LED.
