Talk about other non-signal stuff here. Make sure to obey the rules though.

Eh, just an off-set intersection. Seen that several times before.

Also for unknown reasons before these signals were upgraded, the LED traffic lights were downgraded to incandescent PEEK heads.

LEDs were awful quality though.

Maybe they figured the incandescents were more visible than the LEDs :LOL3:
Not the first time i've seen signal heads downgraded.

On this street, i might've posted this before, these signals were LED heads, but in 2009 they were replaced by incandescent Microsense heads.

Maybe the LEDs were some sort of test?

...What was the point of this? Seem's like a complete waste of time.

As of 2019, following an upgrade to the road in 2017, you can legally turn right here.

When in doubt, it's probably visibility.

...Where are the push buttons?

Traffic lights for a former bus station, car park in 2008, and now a public space.

Here is a picture of the bus station in 1978, the bus station closed in 1986 following bus deregulation in England, and the site was turned into a car park, but the signals were kept even when the site was a car park but blocked off, the signals were removed in 2011 for regeneration work and reinstalled in 2012.

NO TURNS, but you can turn right... I don't think this is how Michigan works?

You can turn right on the first part of the intersection, but you can't turn at all in the second part.
