Former Georgia Pacific Paper/Pulp mill up here in Bellingham. 75% of the plant shut down in 2001 and the other 25% shut down in 2007. The buildings have slowly been torn down ever since.

Former Great Northern station in Blaine. I believe it's been shuttered since the 60's.

Heres a nearby pub.
Image

The Dog and Gun inn was a pub that had been hanging around since 1926 On a late evening in January 2004, Police officers raided the pub and arrested 9 people following a tip off i believe. This caused the pub to be closed down. Later in the year, planning applications to demolish the pub for housing estate went through in June 2004, however. The pub wasn't demolished until sometime in 2005. It wasn't a safe place. As prior to closure a local gang took over the pub.

Construction of houses are now well underway. This image was taken back in September 2016, when a few houses connected together were completed. Another set is now being constructed.

Surely it may have had them back in the day!

Anyway! On to another nearby pub!

The Stand Farm (Formerly The Fir Tree) was a pub in Croxteth near Croxteth Park. It was once a striving pub for the local community. However, on August 22nd 2007. 11 year old boy Rhy's Jones was shot dead outside in the pubs car park while returning home from football practice. The murder not only shocked Liverpool but the whole of England. The murder caused the pub to be closed in 2008. It reopened in December 2010 under the new name The Stand Farm. But its reopening was short lived when it closed for the last time in 2013. The population had pretty much decreased, when i ate there in 2012. The pub was pretty empty. Bit of a sad end to the pub. A striving pub to turn to a dead pub. This was the only nearby one which was only down the road from my house. R.I.P! :Cry1:

Since then, the pub has been tinned up to prevent any vandals from coming in and smashing anything up. No planning applications have came in at the moment, as far as i know of. The road named after the pub still remains as history.

Its time to go to Greece.

The Wild Wild West Bar over in Pefkos, Greece, was a bar that gave you a good ol' Texa's feeling even though you were on an island in Greece! According to a report on TripAdvisor, a couple visited the bar on their first night in 2010, and the bar was shut for the rest of their visit the night after their visit. So it makes me believe it shut for good in 2010. Apparently, the reason why it shut was because the owner of the bar "Yianni" moved with his wife to England.

However in 2014, a man that worked down the road in bar called Pane Di Capo called "Tasos" reopened the bar. It did kick off the bars popularity again. But some TripAdvisor people that posted on the report claiming that when they walked past the bar it was always very quiet, or at some times deserted. A report on the bar in August 2014 not too long before it closed for good again that year said that the reporters friends visited the bar and didn't like it because "The beer was flat, and the cocktails were made really poorly" Eventually, the bar shut for good again that same year and since then its had all its furniture and stuff placed inside the bar and closed up. When i head back in October i'll see if i can take some pictures.

Who knows were Tasos is these days, hes probably working back at Pane Di Capo.
