The Regal Cinema in Norris Green, opened on January 27th 1930, The cinema was independently operated until it was acquired in 1935 by Associated British Cinemas. In 1955, the cinema closed for a major refurbishment which saw its atmospheric style interior, replaced with a plain Art Deco style. In the early 1960's, it started running a bingo club on Tuesdays and Friday evening until the cinema closed in 1964. It reopened in 1966 as a Mecca bingo hall. The bingo hall ran up until March 2007 when it closed down for the last time. Its been put up for sale and to let various times but has never achieved a buyer. A fence has been put up in the last few years at the alley of the cinemas side to prevent access to urban explorers.

The building during its time as a Mecca Bingo hall can be seen around the 1:41 mark.

Seem's like the houses were badly damaged in a fire the following year

It's two, they just share a wall like a duplex or a townhouse. Pretty common to see in Europe, or at least the UK.
They/Them for me, please.

Partial remains of an Arriva North West and Wales bus depot (most likely used for storage for buses) until they decided to close it.

From views from 2008 to 2009, you can see buses parked, but not too many, so i assume they may've used this depot for extra storage, although another depot only existed not too far down the road.

In 2014, it seem's that the main office building and entrance to the depot was burned...
2014.

2008

2018 street view shows the depot being demolished.

All that remains of the site as of 2019 is just the main break room building, or something else...
https://www.google.com/maps/@53.46298,- ... 312!8i6656

The actual depot, is here.

There was also an abandoned parenting center (Parenting 2000) seems like an odd name but i'm sure i've seen it somewhere else too.

However, it seems that access to this building was very easily, and was smashed to bits, it can be very easy to tell.

Now demolished.

Not sure what this building was, most likely a factory but this has now also been demolished too.

https://www.google.com/maps/@53.4621439 ... 312!8i6656

There was also a large store here that sold roofing supplies, looking up the company says that it was dissolved in 2012, but it seems that this building had already been closed by then.

Not sure why, but this Royal Bank of Scotland bank which has been empty since 2015, plans have been submitted to have it turned into a bar.
https://www.google.com/maps/@53.6027507 ... 312!8i6656

But there is a bar right across the street from the empty bank, so these potential pub landlords are dreaming...

Ah yes, the decline of the high street.

Bootle, England.

Here is a pub, as of 2019 this has been converted into a retail unit that can occupy three businesses, Daria, the shop that focuses on Polish delicatessen has recently closed down.

https://www.google.com/maps/@53.4493844 ... 312!8i6656

Recently closed down sandwich cafe.
https://www.google.com/maps/@53.4497826 ... 312!8i6656

A recently closed down shoe store.
https://www.google.com/maps/@53.4521479 ... 312!8i6656

Most of this building housed a betting shop in 2009 and the other part occupied a hair salon, though signage also shows a tanning business (i assume signage just wasn't removed)

In 2014, the betting shop had been replaced by a solicitors business, the hair salon was still running business though. If you also look closely, you can work out this was also a bank many years ago.
https://www.google.com/maps/@53.4510967 ... 312!8i6656

However, by 2016 the building entirely became a career centre.
https://www.google.com/maps/@53.4511393 ... 312!8i6656

The building closed down a few months ago.
https://www.google.com/maps/@53.4510989 ... 312!8i6656

The building across the street was formerly a Marks & Spencers, closed in 2016 and hasn't found a buyer since.
https://www.google.com/maps/@53.451181, ... 312!8i6656

This pawnbrokers closed down in September, as the company that ran the branch went into administration, which led customers into chaos as they were worried where their items had went.
https://www.google.com/maps/@53.4513152 ... 312!8i6656

These stores for some reason housed money shops separately, In September 2014, the store to the right was closed, and in May 2015 became a store specialising in blinds, then around late-2015 the money store to the right closed down, in 2018, the store specialising in blinds moved, then i believe it may have had some sort of short stint as a furniture shop, but that has now closed as well. The store that closed in 2015 has not found a buyer.

^ In 2009, these buildings housed a betting shop and a butchers respectively, i'm not sure who got the idea to start having a competitive face off with money shops.

Not technically sure if this Chinese restaurant is abandoned, in April 2019 it was open, but there is a sign advertising for two apartments (we call them flats in the UK) and an office, so i may have the wrong impression.
https://www.google.com/maps/@53.4529385 ... 312!8i6656

Pretty confident this bargain store hasn't been opened for years, there isn't a for sale sign anywhere, but i may have the wrong idea again.

Hammer & Pinces, Widnes, Closed ever since the landlord was stabbed to death in a incident involving a patron in which the landlord had barred from the pub in August of last year.
