Old Street and Traffic Signs
Is anyone interested in roadway signs, be they street, regulatory or information signs, especially old ones? Post links to old signs you see still on roads here.
Re: Old Street and Traffic Signs
Well, what would you define as an old sign? Broad definition there..

Re: Old Street and Traffic Signs
Here's an example of some old street signs still in use:

But by street sign, I mean any roadway signs. Can be street names, stop, yield, speed limit, information, RxR, uneven pavement, neighborhood watch, etc.

Here are some in Bolton Abbey, Yorkshire. These are for a arch wall that connect to a wall on the left in the second link.

This one has cateyes!

This bridge in my local area had signs similar, but the bridge had served a rail line until around the 1970's and is now a trail, in 2009 the bridge was in a very sorry state, decay is visible (portions of the bricks had collapsed in the road at certain times) Repair work in 2010 to the bridge resulted in sadly, the removal of these old signs.

At least they rehabilitated it instead of flat out tearing it down and replacing it!NathanFromEngland wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2019 10:11 amThis bridge in my local area had signs similar, but the bridge had served a rail line until around the 1970's and is now a trail, in 2009 the bridge was in a very sorry state, decay is visible (portions of the bricks had collapsed in the road at certain times) Repair work in 2010 to the bridge resulted in sadly, the removal of these old signs.

Re: Old Street and Traffic Signs
A good chunk of highway signage on Interstates 495 & 290 in Massachusetts still have Cateyes, along with some on Route 15 in Connecticut. However these are going to be replaced soon.
