I have gotten pretty hooked on night railfanning at times. Just fewer people around. Ya need to your area though!

This was in Guadalupe CA this morning. Amtrak crossing 10 Street in the raing.

Sometimes, but I do honestly prefer going out in the day, as, IMHO, it's easier to record trains and crossings during the day.
