Lets Make A Deal to return to TV!

It's replacing "The Guiding Light", since the show has been cancelled and the last ep aired today. Lets Make A Deal eps will begin airing the 5th of October. Wayne Brady will be the host. What does everyone think of this? I know I'll have to watch it online, since I'll be in classes when it airs (well, I won't be, but I'm not about to go anywhere near a TV due to schoolwork).

It'll be interesting to see what they do with this show. Hopefully it'll have some elements of the 1980s version, which was my favorite era of the show.

I'm not a huge Wayne Brady fan... so I don't know that I'll be watching it.

I'm not either. I just hope it's better than the 2003 revival.

Personally, I had wish they had chosen Pyramid instead. The third option was The Dating Game.

I'll schedule it on my DVR and give it a watch... I used to love summer breaks back when I was in school... morning and afternoon tv was ripe with lots of great game shows then.

I used to like that until I found out TPiR aired reruns all summer. And yes, I know if I have never seen them then they're not really reruns, but it still doesn't feel the same as a brand new episode.

Today was a brand new episode. Just wait until Monday...

From the previews I've seen, contestant's row looks great with the new LCD TVs. I wish they did that a long time ago. The font seems to be very, very close to the old digits.

The showcase podiums are a bit different. On the first episode, the backgrounds of the numbers were blue with green digits, making it very hard to see. Another preview shows the the traditional black background with white numbers. The font is not eggcrate, but isn't exactly too bad. I just wish the numbers would be a little bigger.

The episode that aired yesterday was new, but it was a leftover from the old season. I've been told that was because people from Guiding Light guest starred on the show and they wanted to air it in conjunction with the Guding Light finale. Monday begins the new season of TPiR.

Yeah, and a showcase that had the Emmy awards as a prize. They couldn't air that 3 months ago.
