I think the light control has to be a 'level crossing' object, and the lights themselves static objects. You have to put a light control for each individual lamp, and set it like the lights on Jovet's signals. They must all be placed so that the orange cubes are in the same place. This is what I can remember from what Andrewsaxamaphone told me...

Does RRXingRick's signals have the warning period and lights only stop flashing when the gate is fully up regardless of train speed, or is it all dependent on distance (and thus train speed)?

I can get Jovet's signals to work fine (downloaded them before he pulled them), but the gates go down as soon as the lights start flashing, and the lights turn off as soon as the gate starts going up. Just wondering if Rick's (or Patrick's?) has this warning delay covered...

If you interact the signals, your best result would be for the lights to have a 10-15 second headstart before the arms do.

Wow Patrick. Glad you're back. Say you wouldn't have happen to do anything with those LED textures I sent you?

also sorry about what i said rrxingrick,
that was before i knew how to use them. :Blush2:
although the flashers do go out of sync sometimes
No Problem, About the lights going out of sync, yeah, that one can be a problem. I find that if you place all the lights at once, it helps, but not always. When you are roaming in the route, try to be a few tiles from the crossing and then rush right to the crossing and see how your computer loads it. If it loads all the light heads at the same time, it should be fine, if it loads them one at a time, it can be troublesome. You may want to try (I HAVE NOT DONE THIS YET) setting the light heads as Level_Cr files in the ref folder then setting them up to turn on lots of seconds before the light control heads , but then they will de-activate ahead of time, IE not stay on while the gates rise. A possible fix to that would be extending the activation distance to like 250M, but then if you have traffic, them will be parked at what seems like an inactive crossing for a while lol. The light sync problem is hit and miss, but hey, as is train sim right, we live with what we have on this masterpiece lol.

Thanks, I'm always working on the train sim modeler, route editor, and everything else that I can work on when time permits, I try to help the best that I can, making exact precise models (at least what the simulator will support polygon wise) takes a little bit of time. I will have the signal stuff back up on the Drop.io website when I can get around to it. I have to re-build all those download files and re-type all the read-me files since drop.io did me the pleasure of loosing my drops, how nice of them huh, but what can you expect for free? This time, I won't be foolish enough to upload on there without backups on my computer. I'll have them up ASAP, just been really busy.

BTW, for anyone who is interested in GO transit, and is familiar with my Metrolink F59PH, I'm re-skinning my Metrolink F59PH in GO transit colors, as well as making model modifications wherever necessary, IE, the bell moved to above the cab... I'm including a shot, I'm interested in feedback on it. Any suggestions are welcome too, especially if you want to see something detailed. Don't know who all noticed on my Metrolink loco, but if you look under the coupler on the Metrolink H3 locos, you can see the P2 under there, as well as the air whistle on the H1 locos. Take care all, and I'll keep you all updated.

-Patrick
