Last night on Tyler Perry's House of Payne,Curtis had an O scale layout.Curtis called the steamer an O scale Norfolk Southern dash 9.

There's also an O-scale train in this Sesame Street segment, "Sounds of Our Lives." The model train was chroma-keyed onto the footage of the Muppets in their house to make it look like the train was passing right through:

This features an O-scale Marx train set at one part (pulled by a Marx 666 steam locomotive.) They also feature a couple of Marx railroad crossing signals (in the original sound version, it had a slow Wig-Wag type of ringing, this redubbed version had a more realistic-sounding crossing bell.) This episode is "The Little Lost Pony."


Looks like an HO-scale Tyco train set of some sort with an 0-4-0 steam locomotive. A little earlier on, Gumby skates past a Marx O-scale train just parked there. When Gumby and Pokey drive up to the HO-scale train, a Marx crossing flasher signal can be seen going off. This episode is "Toy Crazy" (a.k.a. "Toy Joy"), and is an experiment I uploaded combining the original soundtrack of the 1950s with the redubbed audio of the 1980s.


At the 7:38 mark, Gumby climbs on the Marx 666 locomotive and rides around on the train set. This one is "Outcast Marbles." This and all following posts have their original soundtracks intact.


Near the end of this episode, Pokey switches on a Marx train set, just as Gumby is relaxing on the track! There's a Marx crossing gate next to the control pack Pokey plays with. I love those crazy sounds used when Pokey turns on the controls!


This one features the HO-scale engine again (still probably Tyco), but it also prominently features a Lionel O-scale steam locomotive (number 2035!) Note that they put the Lionel train on two-rail Primer track this time (probably because here the trains can carry their tracks wherever they want to go.) The Marx crossing flasher signal can also be seen in the background when we first see the Lionel engine. This one is called "Train Trouble."


At the 3:32 mark, a Lionel train speeds through a railroad crossing with the Primer track and a modified Marx flasher signal (again, the train is hauled by the Lionel 2035 steam locomotive.) This is from "The Zoops," the redubbed version, which features diesel train sounds for the steam engine!


An out-of-character Gumby hops on the Lionel 2035 locomotive again to try and mow down Prickle for flirting with Goo! This one is called "Point of Honor."


Gumby has a Z-scale train set in this one. But when their mastrodon friend Denali accidentally derails it, Pokey and Prickle have to try and replace it in true wacky sitcom tradition. They go for a ride on some magical train, that in close-ups has a battery-powered engine, but in long shots, the train is HO-scale. Other HO trains can be seen in the background. This one is called "Just Train Crazy."


Goo and Minga (Gumby's sister) ride on a G-scale train hauled by an LGB Stainz locomotive, to get to Toyland. This one is "A Dolly For Minga."


Minga and Granny go on a "Wild Train Ride," as the title suggests. The train keeps alternating between G-scale and HO-scale for close-ups and long-shots.
