Talk about crossing signal companies here. International companies are okay too.

Merger between Siemens and Alstom

Post by McK&H.Aust » Wed Sep 27, 2017 10:26 am

Not sure of the implications outside of Europe, but it seems that Siemens and Alstom are going to merge http://www.railwaygazette.com/news/busi ... ility.html

Could be some interesting times ahead if they combine their crossing equipment together.

Well, I don't think Siemens/Safetran makes LED gate lights, so the Alstom LED gate lights may become what Siemens sells. Alstom also makes their own crossing lights, and they're seen here:

They/Them for me, please.

Probably a certain division is merging with Alstom.

Don't mind the look of those Alstom lights, very nice crossing! Sounds like the merger is partly about seeing off competition from China, Japan and Korea. Will be interesting to see if the new "Siemens Alstom" name is used on any crossing equipment.

Looks like cheap plastic, how did you find that Alstom made them?
