Although you wouldn't know it by looking at its current status on the site, the city of Milwaukee (together with its suburbs, such as Cudahy) has a denser concentration of railroad tracks and grade crossings than anywhere else in the state.
Now that I'm living in Milwaukee I've had the chance to get some pictures, although this only represents a small fraction of the crossings there are in the area.
CP, UP, WSOR and CN all operate tracks through the city and its suburbs. Surprisingly, a lot of older signals still stand, including numerous EM gate signals on the UP lines. Another thing about the city is that for some reason, out-of-service tracks and crossings tend to be left in place longer (such as three of the crossings existing on the site, and three pictured below).
