Shelton Road, Madison, AL
One of the gate lights has come off of the gate. You can see it hanging below the gate when the gate fully lowers.
This crossing is in a quiet zone.
Signal on the left: Safetran Gate Mechanism, 2 pairs 12x20 inch Safetran lights, and a Safetran Type 3 E-bell.

Got another video of the crossing today:
It seems I didn't post the video I got of this crossing in 2014. Huh.

Recorded the crossing again yesterday. It appears that the bell on the right-hand signal has developed some issues:

Probably just a partially-blown speaker, did you call it in to NS, or is not that big of a problem.freebrickproductions wrote:Recorded the crossing again yesterday. It appears that the bell on the right-hand signal has developed some issues:

Didn't call it in to NS, as there's another working bell still, which seems to be NS's attitude around here when it comes to crossings with two bells.NathanFromEngland wrote:Probably just a partially-blown speaker, did you call it in to NS, or is not that big of a problem.freebrickproductions wrote:Recorded the crossing again yesterday. Re: Shelton Road, Madison, AL
*originally recorded on 3-13-19*
Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 3 electronic bell, a Siemens gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran Type 3 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.
This crossing has had a few changes since I last recorded this crossing. The most notable change is the fact that the far signal was replaced entirely! I'm not entirely sure why this was done, but I'm guessing that the signal got struck and had to be replaced. The GS Type 3 on it faces away from my camera though, so it isn't as audible as it probably would otherwise be. On the near signal, the gate arm and gate lights were replaced, and the dying Safetran Type 3 was either fixed or replaced with another Safetran Type 3 of a similar age (possibly the one from the previous signal on the far side?). Will have to see about getting out here on a cloudy day though and setting up on the far side to get a better recording of that GS Type 3.
This crossing is in a quiet zone. Trains cannot sound their horns at this crossing (except for an emergency).
