I need help downloading WeatherStar 4000 Emulator Windows 7
Does anyone know how to download the WeatherStar 4000 Emulator on Windows 7 and Windows Vista? Earlier today I downloaded all of the things I need for it but something popped up on my computer saying this: "Setup has detected that this computer does not meet the requirements to complete this operation. The following blocking issues must be resolved before you can proceed.Blocking Issues: The .NET Framework 4.5. is not supported on this operating system. Warnings: Setup may not run properly, because the Windows Modules Installer Service is not available on this computer."
I have an older computer so that is probably why it is doing this. If there is anything I can do to make this work please tell me. Thanks

I suggest you create an account at the Taiganet forums and they might be able to help you out over there.

I decided not to. I don't need it. I have my TV, a Weather Radar, and I will also be getting a wireless Weather Station.

Isn't that the older system that the Weather Channel used to use for their local on the 8's?

Yep, the Weather Star 4000 was the prominent system in use during the 1990s. In fact, the last of the 4000 units went out of service in 2014.cabman701 wrote:Isn't that the older system that the Weather Channel used to use for their local on the 8's?
I had the pleasure of getting to see one in person back in 2009.

Dood... I run it on my laptop with Windows 10 with no issues.
I know another dude who's running it on an old XP machine that runs it 24/7... and he has it output to a CRT. Which is how it is best experienced. My old Lappy that died in 2013 could run it also. That was an old Dell Inspiron running Windows Media Edition that I purchased in 2006.
Check the quick start guide. It could just very well be that your video card isn't compatible, and not because of age.
