The owners of it probably requested Google to blur it because they were tired of people looking at their house on street view.NathanFromEngland wrote:Why did Google blur the Home Alone house?

Re: Google Street View
Could be any railfan as that is a well know spot for railfanning. And plus Tommy is from Illinois, he does live at Cedar Point for part of the year (as he works there) but Sandusky isn't necessarily in the Toledo area.NathanFromEngland wrote:TommyBNSF, Is that you?

I got that crossing (well at that point it wasn't really a crossing anymore) right before the signals were removed.
Here is the page. I modified it a bit recently and the modified page was suppose to be part of this update but for some reason it wasn't along with some other pages that I created which I later modified.
http://www.rxrsignals.com/Ohio/L-Q/Nort ... rouillard/
I did get some footage of a train and a high rail truck at that "crossing" three years ago but the footage is lost as I had trouble editing the video and I just never got around to making it. The footage is lost as it is on a broken external hard drive of mine, I know nothing about computers and stuff so I have no clue if I can recover the files on it.

Metro, why do you keep removing Mechanical bells?!

Here are some unique signals in Sandusky, Ohio. These are here because of these roads kind of being the main roads that Cedar Point tourists use. As a kid I was kind of interested in these signals and they were one of the things that I associate the most when traveling to Cedar Point.

Re: Google Street View
Those reversible lanes are pretty cool (which is also why they're striped with broken double yellow lines). Cedar Point Drive also has a pair of Crouse-hinds Art-deco beacons in service with command lenses in them!

Cedar Point also has this traffic signal beacon mounted into a.... thing. I remember being curious about this as a child.

And then there are those homemade signals at the entrance to the parking lot. Childhood nostalgia for me!
