Not sure... but I followed that line for awhile until it went back into service and found a crossing with... ASC E-BELLS! And on both signals!

Some disused crossings in Houston, TX (they appeared to have still been in service in 2007). Plenty of 8-inch Safetran signals too!

Looks like this line went on for quite a bit. The line appears to end in Germantown.
