According to CSX locomotives on facebook, CSX 7761 and 496 were reported to be in a wreck in Nappanee, Indiana. Both appear to be scrapped on site. The cause of the derailment was likely weather.

That's odd, when i tried to search said topic yesterday, i didn't get any results about a wreck in Indiana.

Can't say I'm surprised they're starting to retire the SD50-2s.
They/Them for me, please.

CSX 3099 has been involved in a serious derailment in Mexico, I can't find a news report on the topic, and the fate of the engine is currently unknown.

One crew member sadly died in the accident, and from the photo I saw, 3099 appears to be pretty beat-up.

Poor thing! Might meet the scrappers torch :Cry1:

Is it known how the derailment happened? And where it happened?
