EAS Anyone?

Post by PlyingKibbles89 » Wed May 08, 2019 1:04 pm

Just wondering if anyone is interested in EAS(Emergency Alert System)?
Proud owner of too many things.

GE B40-8W's are the best. Well, uh, maybe with some exceptions...?

You mean the thing that scares the living shit out of you in the middle of the day if the TV is turned up? Yeah, no thanks.

I kind of have nice memories of it as a kid, when we'd get afternoon thunderstorms and it would go off. I wouldn't if it was for something like a tornado.

I rarely hear it come on these days, but when I do it isn't four LOUD beeps, it's just three sets of three fast beeps.

If you think that's bad, check out what we have to put up with on Emergency Alerts in Australia. :Eeeeek:

I post alerts in my area and mocks/recreations to Youtube, so yeah I'm into it.

I own a few different NOAA Weather radios, so in a sense... yes.
I actually just bought this model earlier this week to replace an old Radio Shack model I bought 20 some odd years ago when SAME codes were first being used.
Well, :Censored:
