Mississippi: Granada south to Canton. Lines splitting off of it at Aberdeen JCT also abandoned. Another abandoned line splits off N of Granada Lake. This one has boatlaods of abandoned cars stored on it. Lots of crossbucks on this line are an odd oversized font. Gates have been removed.
Interesting crossings:
Pickens: Large font crossbuck, gates removed: https://www.google.com/maps/@32.8837848 ... 312!8i6656
Goodman: Same sich as above:https://www.google.com/maps/@32.9681491 ... bfov%3D100
Winona: Mast signals w/ parts removed:https://www.google.com/maps/@33.48341,- ... bfov%3D100
Sawyer Rd N of Winona: Old mast signals on gravel rd:https://www.google.com/maps/@33.5253034 ... 312!8i6656
Eskridge: Gated signals w parts missing:[urlhttps://www.google.com/maps/@33.5758624,-89.700 ... bfov%3D100][/url]

Eliott: Fast moving trains signs (like the Restless Heart Song) There used to be signals, but they were replaced with wood post crossbucks:https://www.google.com/maps/@33.6783256 ... bfov%3D100
North end of out-of-service section likely around this point

Re: Tracks out of service
Got another recently abandoned line to report on. According to a friend of mine, the unused portion of the NS AG Branch in Gadsden, AL (the former TAG Railroad) was recently torn up, with all of the crossbucks and tracks (that weren't in the crossings) removed. That includes the following crossings that are or or were planned to be on the site:
5th Street #3 (not on the site yet):

Tuscaloosa Avenue #1 (reportedly, while the tracks around the crossing and the crossbucks on the signals have been removed, the gate arms still remain, oddly enough):

I plan on checking up on this in the near future, so I'll report back to y'all on what I find out.

Re: Tracks out of service
Found this abandoned SCL branch line in LaGrange, GA, today:
First crossing, back when it still had signals, which still had a trio of SCL signals about 10 years ago:
https://www.google.com/maps/@33.0442722 ... 328!8i1664
https://www.google.com/maps/@33.0445241 ... 328!8i1664
Almost nothing left now, save for the relay case and a signal base:
https://www.google.com/maps/@33.0442931 ... 312!8i6656
Looks like the line ended here in 2008, but originally continued on:
https://www.google.com/maps/@33.0450182 ... 328!8i1664
Not much evidence left beyond there, though it appears that it crossed this road about right here and terminated at the plant just west of this apparent former crossing:
https://www.google.com/maps/@33.0450619 ... 312!8i6656
EDIT: Here's a former CSX branch in Peachtree City, GA:

A pair of old, wooden 45° crossbucks here!

Yes. Fixed it in the original post though.NathanFromEngland wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 4:06 amWrong link?freebrickproductions wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2019 9:13 pmFirst crossing, back when it still had signals, which still had a trio of SCL signals about 10 years ago:

Re: Tracks out of service
The crossing in this video i assume is out of service as the lights do not work, there is a sign posted here in Finnish that translates to.
"the warning facility is not functioning" (Google Translated version, though i'd say "Caution, the crossing system is not functioning)
Crossing on street view prior to OOS? I can't tell due to lack of updated photographs.
https://www.google.com/maps/@60.881144, ... 312!8i6656
Though i decided to keep looking to see what i can find.
Here is the next crossing down, again no updated photographs, but there is a dump truck and a nearby excavator, that appear to be doing something related to the trackwork or the ballast.

https://www.google.com/maps/@60.8880843 ... 312!8i6656
Someone also recorded this crossing in 2009.
Afterwards, both track ends join a main line, i assume this was a route for freight trains that is no longer used.

Stone Mountain, Georgia
https://www.google.com/maps/@33.8055796 ... 328!8i1664
Kind of hard to see, but if I were likely to guess, I think this once connected the Stone Mountain Park that's nearby. (And yes, the rails have since been removed.)

Re: Tracks out of service
Why do they use crosswalk signals as blankout signs... it's such an eyesore for me.Ethan the Railfanner wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2019 10:44 pmStone Mountain, Georgia

As for the line itself, the tracks were dismantled in 2004, i went to see what i could find.
Until a few years ago, the Stone Mountain Railroad name beared on trestles, then the trestles were repainted and the names removed from the trestle.
https://www.google.com/maps/@33.8058194 ... 312!8i6656
Paint was flaking from this bridge hence probably why it was repainted.
https://www.google.com/maps/@33.8062462 ... 312!8i6656
Not sure if there was a crossing here at one time hence why i am locked in a 2013 view, but i assume there was as the trail goes from here.
https://www.google.com/maps/@33.8074677 ... 312!8i6656
From there on out the line continues with no crossings and then ends.

What else would they use? Those heads are quite common for "NO LEFT TURN" and "NO RIGHT TURN" light-up signs...NathanFromEngland wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2019 4:11 amWhy do they use crosswalk signals as blankout signs... it's such an eyesore for me.Ethan the Railfanner wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2019 10:44 pmStone Mountain, Georgia
