In order to be able to operate unmanned DPUs on a train, the lead locomotive has to be equipped to be able to do so. Unfortunately, from what I understand, like the unrebuilt SD70MACs, the rebuilt ones lack the ability to lead a train with DPUs...

Three more rounds of retirements have been announced, also the last thee SD70s on NS's roster are up for sale. Extra glad I got the SD80MACs I did when I did now.

NS retires their SD80MACs. Well... it's an end of an era for SD80MACs on NS. According to the post by NSDash9, six are sold to CP. But, i'm thinking, is CP gonna rebuild the SD80MACs they acquired from NS?
