Safetran 12"x24" signals with no rear lights
and a WCH/WRRS mechanical bell as of August 3, 2003 by Josh Baumann.

An opposite view of the crossing taken by
Brian556 sometime in January 2005.
An action shot taken on May 12, 2008 by
Brian556. Note the bell is now a General Signals electronic bell!
Here's the look as of November 29, 2008 as
taken by TrainmanAlex2. The bell is back to another Safetran mechanical
bell on the cantilever in addition to another 2 GS bells on the mast
signals.
Note that the crossbucks and front mast lights are now on a seperate mast. Gates are being added here! The gated mast lights are 12"x24" US&S with RTI LED lights.
Note that there's at least one "DO NOT STOP ON TRACKS" sign left on the right cantilever mast. The left one appears to be gone.
The Westbound cantilever has been moved back to make way for the overhead DART Line coming soon.
Taken February 28, 2009 by Brian556. Why aren't there gates installed here yet?! |
Views of the crossing as of March 7, 2009.
The Safetran frames have Safetran fading LEDs inside of them. Picture 9
shows where DART will eventually be having an overpass of their own.

On July 19, 2009, we find that the DART light rail overpass is progressing nicely. The new mast signals still don't have gates yet. |

Views of the crossing as of November 28, 2009 by TrainmanAlex2. There are finally gates on the signals now, as well as two new median 12"x24" gated signals as well. |
Something went very weird on this side of the
crossing. You'll notice that the gated signal in front of the
cantilever in picture 10 has now moved in front of the first overpass,
leaving a big gap between the new gated signals, and the cantilever.
I'm not sure if this will stay or not, although there are similar
setups like this in San Diego, CA.

The cantilever showed in picture 14 has its
crossbuck and mast lights back!
Not too much changes on this side of the
crossing.
The gates are US&S Model 95s.
The gate mech bases are from Safetran.
The light frames on the gate masts are from
Progress/Lincolin Industries.
Both shoulder signals have GS electronic
bells.
The double base from the still-existing
Safetran cantilever.
The hole shows where the older lights used to
be at.
The sign still stays on the cantilever.
The old DOT number still shown on one of the
cantilevers.
This is right behind the cantilever. You can
barely see it in picture 26.

A rear view of this side of the crossing.

Track views.
The lights that were put back in were
Safetrans (maybe the original Safetrans?) with Safetran FLX-4000 ball
LEDs!
The Safetran mechanical bell still exists
here too!
