It looks like these Wishbone gates are bent in half. They are, but on purpose. Read on for more. |

I remember this crossing the most from when it was online in the past. This crossing has a height problem with being under a building, and normal gate wouldn't work down here, so the people at DART devised a way to try to fix the problem. Here is the result of a little extra work. The gate pieces are hinged in the middle to completely cover the road when down, and fold in half when up. I think it's a pretty smart idea. The gates are the wishbone A-gates.

A
retrun trip to this crossing on February 2, 2024 by
freebrickproductions finds that all of the signals here have been
upgraded to LED, and that three of the four Wishbone gates here were
replaced! The replacement gate arms are still hinged, however.

The second signal. Thankfully, this one still
retains its original wishbone gate arm.

Some
action shots of the crossing from both sides! The WCH mechanical bell
on the first signal only rings once whenever the crossing activates.
