Picture
1 is an overview of the crossing from the North side of the tracks.
This is an odd configuration. The road that crosses the tracks at grade
is not actually 27th St, but just an access road to some businesses
which happen to be underneath 27th St. 27th St itself is on the high
viaduct seen beginning in picture 2. The signal is sandwiched between
the tracks and the parallel Greves Street, so tightly that the two
pairs of lights for warning traffic on Greves are mounted vertically. |
|||
The signal picured has 12"x20" Safetran incandescent lights. The other signal has 12"x24" Safetran incandescent lights. There's a WCH mechanical bell on each signal.
Picture
6 is a track view East. Ppicture 7 is a track view West. Picture 8
shows the equipment cabinet, also sandwiched between Greves St. and the
tracks. |
