Alstom-Aurora LED's have been made since the early 2000's. This light is very hard to find probably because it's so expensive.

This LED looks like UP's design, but there are some slight differences. 1st the light says "Alstom" in the center. 2nd, the pattern of the LED's is different.

There are 3 different types of LEDs available from Alstom. One is an 8" design (160 LEDs total), the other 2 are 12" designs (160 and 300 LEDs total).

Temperature ranges for this kind of LED ranges from -40°C to +70°C (-40°F to +158°F), and operate from 8 to 20 volts D.C. and 8 to 16 volts A.C.

The 8" LED has a total of 12 white LEDs used as side lights. There are two columns of 6 LEDs per column.

Both 12" LEDs have a total of 6 white LEDs used as side lights. They form a circular shape.

The 8" LED retails for $199.00 per LED light. The 12" 160 LED light retails for $200.00 per LED light. The 12" 300 LED light retails for $289.00 per LED light, although another catalog on the Alstom website says this light costs only $240.00.

This is one of the few sites to tell you not to look directly into a lit LED while it's lit.
