This type of light has been available since around 2003, but so far, one has yet to be seen in service. Not much about it is known, seeing as how no one has seen it in service yet.

According to their website, this kind of LED can last over 100,000 hours, runs on 10 volts A.C/D.C, uses 8 watts of electricity, and only consumes 800 MAh.

There are a total of 8 white LEDs used for side lights.

There is only a 12" version known at this time. An 8" version was said to be available, but it's not listed anymore. It's not known if they discontinued the 8" LED light or not.

Back around 2004 or so, the LED was said to cost $275.00 per LED light, but shortly after posting this information, the price listing was removed. It's not known if the price has gone down.

A discount may be given for large orders, but that's unconfirmed.

A return visit to LEDtronics on January 18, 2011 shows that this crossing signal LED has been pulled from their store, so this LED is now no longer available for purchase.
