At the time of documenting the above photos, the Woodlawn-Bessemer Branch was technically out of service, due to the line not having any customers and not having any connections at the north end of this part of the line.

However, the line was later connected into the CSX line on the north end of the line, and was brought back into service with a CSX local running from the CSX Boyles Yard to the NS Norris Yard in Irondale and back.

...only for the crossing to malfunction after shutting off! However, this time, the gate arm got stuck between the lights, which caused the e-bell to start messing up, as seen in the second video below.

Another return trip on 5-12-20 shows that the overhead lights on the bell-less signal were replaced with Safetran 12x20 inch lights!

For some reason, this crossing uses guy-wire traffic light mast-arms with the overhead lights mounted on a piece of mast hanging from them.
