This crossing is located on a connector track between the BNSF Birmingham Subdivision and the NS NA District.

Not entirely sure who owned it, but I suspect it was BNSF given that they still use the eastern end of it as the house track for the locomotives used for their local freight based out of Jasper.

 

Years ago, this was used by the Illinois Central to get their trains between Birmingham, AL, and Corinth, MS.

Despite the connection to the rest of the former IC trackage having long been severed, CN apparently still retains trackage rights over the BNSF Birmingham Subdivision south of this crossing.
