The relay case. |
Looking south towards McClung Avenue. |
Looking north towards Private Crossing #2 in Spruce Pine. |
The crossing activates! The GS Type 2 here rings front start-up until the gates have lowered while the GS Type 3 rings from when the gates begin to lower and remains on while the gates are down. |
NS 320 comes south through the crossing with an ES44AC leading an AC44C6M on the head-end. |
Another ES44AC works as the mid-train DPU. |
The train passes... |
...and the crossing deactivates. The GS Type 3 remains on until the signals have done so, while the GS Type 2 starts back-up when the gates begin to rise. Not entirely sure why the bells here operate like this. |
