A return trip on 5-10-18 catches the crossing in action! |
An ex-Conrail SD50-2 leads CSX Q518 through the crossing! |
The trailing locomotive is another ex-Conrail EMD unit, an ex-Conrail SD60I! Sadly, this locomotive was retired by CSX later in 2017. |
The train passes... |
...and the gates rise. |
Another return trip to the crossing on 9-2-21 finds the signals here have gotten some upgrades! |
The first signal. |
The lights on this signal have had all of their Dialight Ball LEDs replaced! The LEDs in them are now Leotek EV Series LEDs on the front pair, and WCH 2nd Generation LEDs on the rear pair. |
The bell here was also replaced with an NEG electronic bell. |
The second signal has also had all of its Dialight Ball LEDs replaced as well. Like with the other signal, these LEDs now are a mix of WCH 2nd Gens and Leotek EV Series LEDs, though the WCH LEDs are in the front pair and the Leoteks are in the rear pair on this signal. |
The crossing activates! |
This CSX hi-rail crane-thing pulls up the siding and into the crossing before stopping. |
The hi-rail crane turns-around and begins picking its rail wheels off the tracks, causing the signals to deactivate. |
The signals breifly reactivate as it leaves the crossing on the road to park nearby. |
