This railroad crossing is about 35-40 miles West of the Fort Rock Rd. Seligman crossing.

Note the incorrect name on the relay case. The FRA's website has the correct name though.

I'm facing South now. These signals look a lot like the Garland Prairie signals from Williams, AZ.

Just 3 seconds after taking picture 5, a police car came up and wondered if that car pictured in picture 4 was mine. I told him yes, and he ORDERED me to move it, saying it was on private property. Yeah right, like the BNSF could still get through. It's not like I didn't leave them enough room...

I still think that police agencies bully us because they can. If any police officers look at this page, please email me to set the record straight.

Note: As of February 8, 2010, I still have not gotten a reply...

There was a motel not too far away. I was told I could park here and walk.

The time difference between pictures 5 and 6 was 30 minutes. I tried to go further West, but I was about halfway to Kingman on a somewhat bad driver's side tire, so I decided to come back after not being able to get a parking place here.

I finally got back here, and the crossing was already active. A car went around the gates, and I guess for a good reason. The signals were active for at least 1 minute before the train finally showed up. The signals are Safetran with US&S gates, and WCH bases.

Picture 10 faces West, while picture 11 faces East.

In picture 12, you can see the sides of the 12"x20" lights are red, unlike the Fort Rock Rd. crossing in Seligman which has white L.E.D. sidelights. Both bells are General Signals Type 1 electronic bells that turn off right before the gates rise.

For some odd reason, my Kodak camera was malfunctioning around this time. I tried to take pictures of the gate mechanism and the base of the signal, but the camera would not power on.

I got it to work for a short time, but not for very long. Picture 16 faces East. I tried to take a West view, but the camera malfunctioned again.

Luckilly, I brought my older Concord 1.3 MP camera with me, and got these pictures from inside the car, because I was too afraid to do anything with police knowing I was here. That one officer ruined the whole day, and I blame him for me not getting very good pictures of the crossing. I was also unable to get video of the crossing because of that cop.
