The west median signal. There's two 8" gated signals here, and one cantilever signal.

The west signal with a mechanical bell on it.
A warning sign for bicycles. Canada uses the diamond sign above, in place for the U.S. circle warning sign.

Bicycles have to follow the path, and make a sudden left turn to cross the tracks here.

Facing East.

I think the traffic light to the left is to warn traffic that firetrucks are coming out with sirens going.

The cantilever signal. The gate in the rear of the signal has a mechanical bell on it.

Another warning sign. I find it kind of weird to see this instead of the circle sign, but not too many people like the circle warning sign from what I've read on the internet.

Before this road was widened to 4 lanes there were two gateless mast signals.

* SEVERAL YEARS AGO, A BICYCLIST WAS RIDING OVER THE TRACKS WHEN HIS WHEELS GOT CAUGHT IN THE FLANGE BETWEEN THE RAILS. HE WAS THROWN INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC AND KILLED. AS A RESULT, THE CITY INSTALLED A LANE FOR BICYCLISTS THAT MUST CROSS AT AN 90° ANGLE INSTEAD OF A 45° ANGLE TO PREVENT ANOTHER ACCIDENT LIKE THIS HAPPENING AGAIN.

A return visit by The BC Railfan shows that surprisingly, no major changes have occurred to the crossing!
