1 Shows the Gate that the CN maintainer gave
to me. This picture was taken right after he dropped it off at my
house. 2 is the pole for the signal, with cement drying. 3 is a picture
of the gate with the lights attached, along with the 8 foot extension
that I didn't use. It would of been too long. 4 is the Safetran 8"
lights.

Daytime views of the signal, with the "STOP
ON RED SIGNAL" sign installed. This sign was only up for a week before
taken down and replaced by an original font one. You'll see this in
last set of pictures taken on Sunday, February 24, 2008.

The gate lights are RECO 4" LED's. The mast
lights are Safetran 8" incandescent.

The new "STOP ON RED SIGNAL" sign with the
standard font. I like this one alot better! 38-40 show the signal once
again operating.

This is a signal that was purchased from a
private party. This signal has all WRRS 8" lights and a WRRS mini-bell!

Here's a rear view.

Here's the second WRRS signal that was
purchased. The lights are far apart due to a misinstallation.

Here are the signals back home on March 15, 2008 after purchasing them for $950. You can see that two lights were damaged in picture 50. They can be fixed, but I don't think they're going to be. |

These two signals won't be put together until late Spring 2008 (or until the weather warms up there). The plan for now is to put the signal with 2 pairs of WRRS lights up, and also attach the other pair of WRRS lights on the second signal together as side lights. The second mast signal will then get two pairs of GRS LEX-C plastic lights.
As for the broken WRRS lights, the plan is to trade them to a railroad company for another set of LEX-C lights. Whether it will happen or not will depend on a LOT of luck.
Pictures 47-57 were taken March 15, 2008.
|
58-61 are pictures of the gated signal with the GRS LEX-C lights installed on the front only. I just tested it out to see how they would look. I got them from eBay, a total of 6 for $150, or $25 a piece. |

62 shows a side view. You can still see the
Safetran 8" lights on the rear. 63 is a close-up of the LEX-C light
from the rear. 64 is the remaining 4 lightheads. 65 shows the LEX-C
lights operating.
|
|||
|
66-69 are the lights operating on my gated
signal. You can see how they fade when you get close to them, but they
are pretty bright from back a ways. The rear ones are now installed.
|
|||
|
70 is the what the inside looks like on the
LEX-C lights. You can see the bulb sits on a clear plastic piece, and
it faces towards the rear of the assembly. 71 is the back of the light.
72 and 73 are of the new mast signal that got installed. The whole
crossarm assembly complete with lights was bought from Conrail for $80,
so not bad at all.
|
|||
|
74-79 are more views of the LEX-C mast
signal. It has a hybrid bell, and black SORS and Track sign.
|
|||
|
80 and 81 are of my teardrop bell I got off
of eBay.
|
|||
|
82-85 are the pictures the seller took of the
item when it was listed on eBay. I couldn't resist buying it because of
the color variation, and the overall shape that it is in.
