Here's the inside of the bell. The two blue areas of the bell are adjustable. The top one is how fast or slow the bell can ring. The bottom one is volume. I don't know how loud or soft the volume can go. They look like they can be turned with a coin, although very small non-static screwdrivers are mostly used to turn them. Think of how you open up your PC, and you cannot get any static inside your computer, otherwise it will fry. The bell is pretty much the same way. Any static it gets will fry it, and will render it useless.

Here's instructions on how to wire the bell, and how to modify the bell to your liking.
Here's an angle of a bell we don't get to see very often.

A better look at the speaker.
I think those are contacts to make the bell operate.

This is where the speaker would rest.

From Patrick:

This is my Model 0777 type 2 WCHayes electronic bell. I bought this bell outright from WCHayes for $185.00. This is the bell that started my bell collection. It has a 4 & 1/2" - 5 & 3/4" pipe mount.

From Mike:

I had no idea you could order direct from the company. I guess it doesn't matter as long as there is money involved.

On February 14, 2006, Rrxingrick took out the speaker, and attached some audio cables, hooked them up to the computer, and got a raw feed out of the bell. There was just one "bong", but I can loop it any length I want (maximum 0.614 seconds).

I made a clip using a 3/10 second (0.30 seconds) loopable "bell" that you can download below.
