Overviews of this classic, and almost "pure", SAL crossing. |
The first siganl. |
||
It's a US&S "micro-cantilever"! |
The emergency information. |
The lights on this signal are all US&S 8 inch lights! |
|
The bell here is a WCH mechanical bell! |
The second signal. |
||
It's another US&S "micro-cantilever"! |
The emergency information. |
This signal uses more US&S 8 inch lights! |
|
From what I can tell, outside of the signage, the WCH mechanical bell is the only thing here that wasn't installed by the SAL! If I had to guess, this crossing most likely had a US&S Teardrop bell originally.
The relay case. |
Looking southeast towards Faceville-Attapulgus Road near Attapulgus. |
Looking northwest towards Faceville Highway. |
A bit to the south of this crossing, the line is used only for car storage, until a bit north of the Florida state line.
At that point, the ownership changes to the Florida, Gulf, & Atlantic Railroad, and the line continues on into Tallahassee, FL.
